NEW YORK– A crook made off with some high-priced shades when he ripped off a South Bronx eyeglass store.
Cops say an employee arrived at Vistasite Eye Care at around 4 am on June 8. Outside the store on East 149th Street she noticed damage done to the glass store window. Then she saw a man inside the closed store.
As the worker tried to confront the crook, he took off, fleeing on foot towards St. Mary’s Park.
Cops say the crook made off with $2,849 worth of merchandise.
The suspect’s image was caught on the store’s surveillance video.
He is described as a Hispanic male in his 40s with a light complexion.
He is 5 foot 10 and 150 pounds with long black hair. He was last seen wearing blue hooded sweatshirt, dark blue jeans, dark colored sandals and white socks.
