Suspect Sought in Pelham Parkway Sex Attack

BRONX– Detectives in the 49th Precinct are currently searching for a masked intruder who sexually assaulted a woman inside her Pelham Parkway apartment.
Police and paramedics were called to Cruger Avenue and Maran Place at just after 1 p.m., on December 12.
Police say the suspect wore a ski mask and entered through the victim’s unlocked door. The 41 year-old victim was beaten and raped by her assailant.
Upon arrival of police, the victim was transported to Jacobi Hospital in stable condition, where she was treated for injuries to her face, neck and back.
On December 16, the NYPD released a composite sketch of the suspect, who is described as a thin black male with brown eyes.
At the time of the attack, the suspect was wearing a black mask, black hoodie, black sweatpants and black gloves.
Police added that the suspect spoke with a Spanish accent and fled from the six-story building on foot.
