BRONX– An argument over cigars went up in smoke when an arsonist tried to set a Bronx deli on fire.

Cops released surveillance video from inside and outside the deli which shows the suspect pouring and then igniting a flammable liquid at the entrance of the deli.

Investigators said the suspect and a deli clerk got into a verbal argument at around 6 am inside The First Stop Grocery Deli in Wakefield. The argument turned physical but the suspect left.

Cops say that the man later returned with a red canister, which appears to be a gas tank, and proceeded to pour the liquid at the entrance to the deli. He then lit it on fire and fled.

The clerk is then seen on the video trying to put out the fire with a bottle of water while calling 911.

The suspect is described as an African-American male in his 20s. He was last seen wearing a back hoodie, denim vest, and blue pants.
