Gunman Robs Bronx Cab Drivers

3 Cabbies Robbed at Gunpoint for the Holidays

BRONX– Cops are looking for a gunman who stuck up cab drivers throughout the Bronx in 3 robberies around the holidays.

Investigators released surveillance video of the suspect who wears a Chicago Bulls cap and bubble jacket. Cops say he used a black handgun in each case to rob a livery cab driver.

At around 11 pm on Christmas Eve, the suspect hailed a livery cab within the confines of the 47th Precinct and asked to be taken to 1961 Schieffen Avenue. As the cab approached the destination, the man told the driver to pull over near a parking lot as he whipped out a handgun. He made off with $100 in cash.

On December 26, the robber repeated his stickup. This time he asked the driver to take him to 1965 Schieffen Avenue. Again as the cab approached the destination he had the driver pull over near a parking lot, pulled out a handgun and robbed him. Again he made off with $100 in cash.

In the last case the gunman switched it up. This time he hailed the cab at the corner of Westchester Avenue and Southern Blvd within the confines of the 48th Precinct. He told the driver to take him to 1900 Longfellow Avenue. This time he waited until the cab arrived at its destination when he pulled out the black handgun and demanded cash. He ran off with $70.
