Police were called for reports of gunfire and discovered a victim mortally wounded.
Officers from the 42nd Precinct were called at 2:31 p.m. on May 2, when police say the 32-year-old victim was shot in the head and torso, inside the lobby of 1290 Hoe Avenue.
The victim, later identified by police as Jhameer Cameron, a resident of the building, died a short time later at St. Barnabas Hospital.
Police arrested and charged fellow resident Reynaldo Pequero, 28, who was charged with murder in the 2nd degree, manslaughter and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
