At around 3 pm on March 17, a man dressed in a grey hoodie entered the Dollar General on White Plains Road in Wakefield. He walked up to the counter wearing a black mask and pulled out a handgun.

The gunman demanded that the 24-year-old cashier hand over the money from the register. The worker complied and handed over the cash. However, the employee was not moving fast enough for the gunman. He leaned over the counter and pulled cash out of the register.

Cops say he made off with $97.

Although the gunman’s face was covered with a black mask when he robbed the register, it was not covered when he left the store.

A separate surveillance camera at the entrance captured the man’s face and cops are asking for the public’s help to capture him.
