A near capacity crowd turned up in Co-Op City, for an event hosted by the Coalition to Save Affordable Housing.

The Co-op City Candidates Forum was held at the Bartow Community Center on Bartow Avenue. Candidates included Councilwoman Jumaane Williams; NYC Public Advocate Letitia James; Zephyr Teachout, an associate professor at Frodham University; Leecia Eve, a former aide to Governor Andrew Cuomo and actress / activist Cynthia Nixon, who spoke to and interacted with the crowd as the evening was moderated by Bronx native and Emmy-nominated reporter Ray Raimundi.
