Bronx Shooting Left 1 Man Dead and 1 Wounded

 

BRONX Cops ID suspect in Marble Hill shooting that left 1 man dead and 1 wounded. Police released a surveillance photo of the man they are searching for in connection with the Marble Hill shooting.

 

Police have identified 30-year-old Keith Bailey as a supect in the shooting in the Marble Hill Houses.

 

Police officers from the 50th Precinct responded to reports of shots fired at around 8:45 pm on April 13. Cops arrived at the scene of 5240 Broadway at the Marble Hill Houses in Kingsbridge.

 

At the rear of the building, cops found two men struck by bullets. One victim suffered a gunshot wound to the head.

 

Investigators said the man is 30 years old. He was rushed to Saint Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

 

Police would not release the victim’s name pending notification of his family.

 

The second victim was a 20-year-old man who was shot in the left leg. He was transported to Jacobi Medical Center where he was treated and listed in stable condition.

 

Such fatal shootings are rare within the confines of the 50th Precinct which covers Riverdale. Crime in the precinct is rather low compared to crime statistics from throughout the borough.

 

It is unclear whether the unseasonably mild weather could have played a factor. Historically in the Bronx, warm weather sees an increase in shootings.
