City Island Shooter Sought by Cops

BRONX– A man who fired a gun in the air at a popular City Island eatery is being sought by cops.


Police released surveillance video of the suspect as he waited on line at Tony’s Pier at the tip of City Island. The bizarre incident happened at around 11 pm on August 16. The suspect pulled out a gun and fired several shots into the air. He then fled in a dark sedan. No word as to the motive of the shooting.


Tony’s has had its share of tragedy. In 2012, the restaurant was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy.


The gunman is described as a Hispanic male, 20 to 30 years old. He is 5 foot 10 and weighs 200 pounds. He has facial hair and was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a black t-shirt, gray shorts and black sneakers.
