Car Wash Employee Stabbed in Unprovoked Attack in Bronx

BRONX- Cops are asking for the public’s help to find a suspect who stabbed a car wash employee in an unprovoked attack in the Bronx. 

The attack occurred at around 4:15 am in front of a car wash at 1440 Westchester Avenue near the Elder Avenue subway station in Soundview. 

Police released surveillance video which shows the suspect running up to the employee outside the car wash. He then makes a lunging motion. Cops say he stabbed the worker in the abdomen with a knife. The video then shows the attacker casually walking away. 

The victim was transported to Jacobi Medical Center where he was treated for a puncture wound to the abdomen. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s or 30s.
