Caught on Camera: Man Viciously Beaten in University Heights
BRONX– Cops are looking for the thug who sucker punched and then viciously beat a man into a coma. Investigators say the motive for the horrible crime is robbery.
The NYPD released surveillance video which shows a mugger stomping on a man’s head in the Bronx. The victim lapsed into a coma.
The thug is seen on surveillance video outside a supermarket at 60 West 183 Street at around 3 am on Sunday.
The suspect is seen engaging the victim in conversation.
Suddenly he punches the 38-year-old man in the face and unloads a series of punches to the face and head.
The video shows that the victim could not fight back and fell to the floor. But that did not stop the attacker. He continued to punch, stomp and kick the victim in the head until the man lost conscious.
Then the attacker is seen riffling through the man’s pockets stealing his property.
The victim was taken to an area hospital where he lapsed into a coma.
The attacker is described as a Hispanic male who is 5 foot 7 and weighs 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray baseball cap, a red coat with a fur-lined hood, a gray sweat suit and white sneakers.
