Broke Burglar Steals Change from Bronx Islamic Center 

Maybe He Would Have Made More Money Panhandling


NEW YORK– Cops are looking for a burglar who stole change from a Bronx Islamic Center.


Police released surveillance video of a man suspected of burglarizing the Parkchester Islamic Center at 1375 Virginia Avenue. He struck around 7 pm on September 8. 


The man is seen from an outside camera trying the doors while holding a Snapple bottle. When he found one door open he walked inside. He is then seen wandering the halls of the Islamic Center with his Snapple in his pocket. 


Cops say the crook found $200 in quarters from a file cabinet he forced open. No word on anything else being stolen. 



The suspect is described as a black male last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a blue sweater, blue jeans and black sneakers.
