Bank Robber with Marijuana Busted Near NYPD Breakfast

BRONX- A Brooklyn man is in custody after police say he robbed a bank on Jerome Avenue blocks away from where the 52nd Precinct held their annual recognition brunch at Monroe College.

Police were called to the Chase Bank, at 3408 Jerome Avenue, at 4:48 p.m., on May 24.

Officials say the suspect passed a note, but fled empty handed. 

Officers grabbed the suspect two blocks away at the Mosholu Parkway subway station. 

David DeLaurentif, 30, of Brooklyn was charged with attempted bank robbery, possession of a gravity knife and marijuana.
